Flavoured oils are great to use in salad dressings and for basting meats, and they can also be mixed with mashed vegetables providing them with an extra tasteful flavour. Vinegars flavoured with fruit are invaluable in salad dressings but are also useful for deglazing pans when making sauces. Wild & Fruitful sauces are made with traditional recipes using local fruit and are delicious served with toasted and grilled cheese or sausages to name just a few! Penrith Salt is an 18th century recipe, which can be used not only with vegetables, casseroles and gravies but it also has a modern use as a rub. Lovahe salt is delicious when used to flavour soups and potatoes. Wild & Fruitful Cumbrian cider vinegar is made in a traditional way, using nothing other than Cumbrian apples. These apples are pressed and the juice is fermented into cider, which is then aged for about two years in oak barrels to produce the vinegar. Cider vinegar has many health benefits and keeps your joints flexible.
