The Marmalade Festival will be returning home to Dalemain on Saturday 16th March! The World’s Original Marmalade Festival will be returning on Saturday 16th March 2019, so put the date in your diaries and get ready to go orange! Join us at Dalemain for a weekend of marmalade celebrations with market stalls in the historic courtyard, cookery demonstrations, talks, entertainment and shows that will inspire you, your family and friends to take the nation’s marmalade to your heart. The Dalemain Festival is supported by Penrith Chamber of Trade and Commerce, who will be providing Classic Coaches to take visitors between Penrith and Dalemain, as well as organising lots of exciting orange windows & special offers in town.
We are delighted to be welcoming the festival back to its home, Dalemain Mansion, in March. We have lots of exciting activities in store, with a selection of the finest stalls in the north west, marmalade-mad entertainment including juggling and the ‘Marma-lympics’, singers, lectures and much more. See a human fruit machine, learn how to make marmalade & toast ice cream and find out what makes with world’s worst marmalade with head judge Dan Lepard. As always, we will have hundreds of delicious Artisan marmalades available to taste and buy, with displays of thousands of Homemade Marmalades in the state rooms.
There will be three Marmalade Question and Answer Sessions for which Wild & Fruitful's Jane Maggs will be a panel member. There are two sessions on 16th March at 10.45 am and 1.15 pm and one on 17th at 12 noon.
